Vyde will collect and use information obtained from credit card transactions only for business purposes. These business purposes include the payment of monthly fees, catch-up fees, and additional service fees.
We also collect contact information, such as email and phone number, via our online webforms to provide you with updates about your account or our services through email, call, and SMS campaigns.
Managing Your Preferences
Vyde allows you to customize the communication you receive and opt out of our texts and emails. To opt out of email campaigns, you can unsubscribe or manage your email preferences by visiting the link at the bottom of our emails. To opt out of SMS campaigns, you can reply “STOP.” In addition, you can contact our team to manage your preferences and opt out of communications at any time.
Data Protection and Storage
We employ security measures to protect and securely store your data and information. Your information is used only in connection with the services we provide.
The credit card information provided by you to Vyde will be stored in a confidential manner. Our employees may access such information only when there is an appropriate business reason to do so, such as when a refund must be issued back to the credit card. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, and our employees are required to follow these privacy standards.
Financial Account Connections
Vyde offers the option to connect your financial accounts using Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) and MX Technologies, Inc. (“MX”) to streamline your bookkeeping and tax services. While using these tools can enhance convenience by automating the retrieval of financial data, it is not required to use our services. Customers who prefer not to use Plaid or MX can provide the necessary financial information by manually uploading financial statements or providing transaction details in another format.
If you choose to use these tools, Vyde will securely access and retrieve financial data from your linked accounts. The data collected may include account balances, transactions, and other relevant financial details.
Plaid and MX employ industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your financial data. Vyde does not store your banking credentials; all authentication is handled directly by Plaid or MX. We only use the retrieved financial data for the purpose of delivering our services and do not share it with unauthorized third parties. Artificial Intelligence in Our Services
In order to provide our services and deliver the best possible experience to you, Vyde may transmit certain personal information that you provide to us, such as financial data contained in documents, to select third party artificial intelligence (AI) service providers.
These AI services are used to enhance our ability to accurately and efficiently process your financial information for the purposes of bookkeeping, generating financial statements, and preparing tax returns. The AI services may analyze, parse, categorize, or otherwise process the data solely for the purpose of assisting Vyde in providing the services to you.
Please be assured that these AI service providers employ robust data privacy and security measures to protect your information. They are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than delivering the AI capabilities to Vyde, such as for their own marketing purposes or to train their general AI models. Your data is not stored persistently by the third parties after they have processed it to assist us in serving you.
We carefully vet and select AI service providers that adhere to industry best practices and have a strong track record in data protection. However, as with any transmission of data over the internet to a third party, there are inherent risks involved. While we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data during transmission, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
By using our services and agreeing to these terms, you consent to our transmission of your data to these select third party AI service providers for the sole purpose of serving you and providing the services, subject to the terms and restrictions described above.
Disclosure of Your Information
Vyde does not disclose any nonpublic information (such as credit card numbers, their expiration dates, or other personal data) about our customers or former customers to anyone without your explicit consent, except as required by law. With your consent, we may disclose necessary information to select partners to facilitate our services or additional services you may opt into. We will only disclose the information required to fulfill these services.
We disclose information only when it is necessary or under circumstances where disclosure is required by law. Information may also be disclosed for audit purposes, to regulatory agencies, or for other general administrative services. We do not disclose information about you to other entities who may want to sell their products to you.
